"Does anybody else wanna learn about happy families?"

Hello from district 1. I am officially back in the center of the city. It's been awhile.

This week started pretty chill cuz my comp was still sick from dengue. So it gave me a chance to go through the area book and call 5 million people on our phone. Other than that though we have done alot alot of contacting. We have this awesome family named Huong and Qui and Linh and Lanh though, who is just so picturesque. We come in we share a message while they are gathered around the table and they all are excited and willing to pray. Em Linh shared an experience with prayer where her dad said if she ran around the park ten times he would get her a toy, but after 2 times she was tired. So she stopped for a second and said a quick prayer and was able to finish and get a toy! I love the faith of little kids! and then after our lesson as we head out the door they give us little chocolate mochies! It's awesome!

Also we had a cool experience. We got super lost trying to find a potential investigator and showed up like 20 minutes late. She wasn't at home so we called her and she was like "you are late. I'm not at home anymore." so we were sad cuz we biked so far so I just turned to all the neighbors in that little ally and am like "does anybody else wanna learn about happy families?" One guy was like I don't have a happy family and starts talking to us alot. But we asked if we could share and he was like no. So we asked if we could say hi to his wife and he was like yeah. So we go over to his house and ask the wife and she was like sure I would love to. So we sit down with them and share the family proclamation and they just loved it. She said she didn't understand all of it so she should probably learn more! and then she came to church to! It was so sweet!

Then on Saturday we were not feeling super great cuz it had been a hard day. So my comp and I were like lets go eat some ice cream and waffles for dinner. So we go to this cute little place and get talking to this man named Phong and his two kids with the saddest story I have ever heard. But it was so natural to bring up the plan of salvation and share hope and healing with them. They are seriously the cutest little family and were just getting a kick out of the fact that my companion is Vietnamese but doesn't speak the language. He called it a banana phenomenon haha!

Then me and Chi Thao Ly left our sick companions together to go to Binh Duong province to go help out the missionaries over there find some more people to teach! it's cool cuz over there is no longer in the city and it's just a bunch of factories! so around dinner time we just sat outside as hundreds of people filed out and just talked to as many people as we could! it was sooo awesome!
Also Chi Tu and Em Phu got baptized! the sisters before us worked so so so hard with them. They needed the gospel so so much and just had such a hard time. But God always provides a way for those who he has prepared! It was such a sweet thing!

Anyway since it's Christmas season I have been thinking alot about Christ and we have been focusing alot on how he can make our Christmas's more meaningful. It's so fun to hear all the stories of people serving and showing love all over the world! I am so grateful to be out here and sharing the message of his love during this Christmas season. I know as we love and serve and sacrifice we will help others to feel Christ's love! I hope each of you can find the Christmas spirit this week by looking for those who are in need of his love and then helping them! Love you all

Merry Christmas
