Good morning Vietnam!! Week 10 or something like that
Xin Chao Gia Dinh va Ban cua Chi
Hellooooo everybody!! Guess what I am officially in Vietnam!! It's crazy here! It's so different but way cool! Also these past couple weeks have been crazy!
Thanksgiving: seriously like the best day of my mission life! We started out with a devotional by Elder Bednar, then we had a delicious Thanksgiving lunch completely with egg nog, pumpkin pie, and everything else you can imagine for Thanksgiving! its was so good (not quite as good as home cooking but for MTC standards like 11/10)
Then we had another devotional about the service project and then we went down to the parking garage and jammed out to Christmas music while we made breakfast meals to be given to children in Utah in need!
Then after that we had a sack dinner in our class and our district got in a circle and we all went around saying what we were grateful for! It was so fun!
Then we had another Devo but it was more of a concert cuz Nashville Tribute Band came and played for us which was so fun to jam out to some churchy country music.
Then they turned on the Christmas lights and it was beautiful!!!! I loved it!!
Vietnam! So we left good old America on Sunday. We flew for like 18 hours and met our mission president in the airport! Then we drove to the mission home ate banh mi and then just chilled and went contacting with other missionaries cuz everyone was expecting us to come the next day so they had nothing for us to do. But then the next day was orientation and then we got our new trainers and went out and are now official branch builders (we can't call ourselves missionaries).
It is very beautiful here and very busy. The traffic is insane and trying to bike through it is the scariest thing of my life!
People in Vietnam: So the people are awesome. The members are so nice and awesome missionaries!!! We have a couple we are helping to prepare to go on a mission! The investigators are on fire! We have a couple that are just so in tune with the spirit and God really has prepared them. The hardest part with a lot of them is they are so busy. They work and study for school and have a lot to do so some of them can't meet with us a ton or go to church which is hard.
Langauge: Holy it is so hard. I can't understand anything haha! but it will come i just have to work and be patient!
Anyway life is good!
Pics from Thanksgiving and of my district and floral Friday and Vietnam!
