"Wherefore, he that preacheth and he that receiveth, understand one another, and both are edified and rejoice together."

Chao buoi sang everyone!

So I've started writing in my journal in Vietnamese which is a great idea for learning the language but a dumb idea for when I need to write emails cuz it takes forever to figure out what I was saying haha!

Anyway it's been a good week! we had so many little tender mercies!

One of them is we got a new investigator which is a actually a referral from a member! It's the first like real referral we have gotten. Her name is Chi Loan and she agreed to take all 5 of the discussions! So it was awesome! I am not great at first lessons, in fact I stink at them. What's worse is that the member is Korean and speaks fairly good English and no Vietnamese, my comp only speaks Vietnamese, the investigator was speaking Vietnamese and English and I didn't know what to speak cuz I wanted to include the member, help the investigator understand, and be able to work with my companion. Haha so that was exciting. I'm just glad the Spirit knows all languages.

We also passed Chi Phuong Anh on to the Ton Son Nhat Sisters. She was definitely a little bit scared but we seriously had such an awesome spirit filled lesson with her about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and at the end she just said how she know that it doesn't matter who teaches her because she knows it is all the same gospel! It was awesome! Such a testimony builder that the Spirit is the real teacher.

Wednesday we got a couple appointments cancelled and so though okay we will go to a park and contact for an hour or so but within like 5 minutes it start pouring rain. Which means no one is outside. Which means there is no one to talk to. So me and my comp were like lets go try and visit a Co Hong - a less active. So we go to her shop and she is not there but her husband is and there are some workers there. So we talk to them a little bit about our church and invite them to church and english class but they were all like  "sorry we are working." Well a minute or so later Co Hong come in and and says to the workers "Hey have you talked to the sisters yet." and they are like "yeah a little" and then she goes off for the next like 20 minutes lecturing them  about how much what we have to share is going to bless there lives and there families and how important our message is. She also tells them that their lives are a waste if they don't take time to learn the gospel and go to church and go to english class and tells them all the physical and spiritual benefits. Well her husband also joins in about how much they need what we have and me and my comp were dying laughing (on the inside) Cuz here is someone who hasn't been to church in years, is a mix of catholic, mormon and Buddhist and her husband who is not a member telling this kid he needs to join the church. They also gave them time off on Thursday evenings and Sunday mornings. Super funny. Also neither of them came which just goes to show you how important the spirit is in inviting others to Christ
"And if it be by some other way it is not of God."
"Wherefore, he that preacheth and he that receiveth, understand one another, and both are edified and rejoice together." D&C 50:18 and 22

Anyway hope you all have a great week and are enjoying your summer! Love you all
