Water water everywhere...Thank goodness for the "Living Water"

Hey hope you all had a great Mother's days last week!

The last couple of weeks we have had some interesting water stories. Last week started off with one of our water bills not getting paid so we didn't have water for like 3 days haha! that was not fun let me tell you. It makes me laugh though cuz you know that it's rainy season-- there is so so much water every where all the time and we are always soaked in sweat and rain but we didn't even have enough running water to wash our hands. Don't worry though. We used our drinking water to stay clean haha! But I'll tell you, a real shower has never felt so good in my life! Also in Vietnam they have these little sprayers in the bathroom (we use them to clean the floors but I think they have a different purpose.) but anyway the thing broke and so water was spraying everywhere and we couldn't turn it off! We totally flooded our bathroom and we were so soaked haha! Speaking of flooding the rain flooded our church Sunday Morning so we got to help clean that up and still get sacrament started on time!

Anyway besides all the water this week was super good! We had transfers and I am in district 7.  It's again pretty far out from the city and we live by this beautiful river which I love! Anyway the members here rock, we have some solid investigators, one with a baptismal date, one who wants to be baptized and another new one. Also Em Linh got baptized!!! I'm super happy for her! She is like my little Vietnam sister! But I'm also sad cuz she is in my old area so I didn't get to see it.

We have really been focusing on our less-actives though and trying to help them a lot. Most of them are all old time members who were baptized before the mission opened. Ones name is Co Kieu and she is awesome and has been to the temple but just doesn't feel like people like her at church. We went to her house the other day and called her and yelled and she said she wasn't home but eventually she answered the door and we ate with her and shared testimonies of the Book of Mormon and you could really feel God's love for this lady and we knew she could feel it too. It was super cool.

Also the BYU singers came and performed in Vietnam and we took one of our potential investigators there and she loved it! Another of our investigators was going to come but it started raining and Vietnamese people hate the rain. So she didn't come.

Anyways this week has been awesome! I got to serve with my MTC companion again for a couple of days because her new comp was super sick! It was so fun and we have both learned and grown so much since the beginning! it was so cool to see! Missions are awesome! I have seen so many miracles this week and in the past 8 months and it is so cool to see God's hand in all things.

It's ironic with all the water experiences I had-- our Mission President talked about how Christ is the Living Water, He is the source of life. When we turn to Him and His gospel we will never thirst. We can become clean from all our sins and mistakes. Through Him and His Atonement we can live with God again "But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life." (John 4:14)

Sorry for no email last week! our Zone decided to take a little trip to Brazil so we were a little busy! Jk jk don't worry we just went to the beach and hiked up to a Jesus statue that looks like the one in Brazil. It was sooo awesome! We got to go to Vung Tao Beach and hiked up a mountain- which I haven't hiked up a mountain, let alone seen a mountain in a very long time! It was awesome and so beautiful! and very very spiritual. There were little statues of Bible stories everywhere and inside the Jesus Statue were pictures of His life and a little place to worship. You could also climb to the very top on his shoulders and see everything! It was cool cuz we literally came unto Christ. Kinda fun to think about These past 2 weeks have been crazy! We had an awesome Zone conference last week that gave me a ton of direction as far as how to do missionary work and I feel like since then the work has just been on fire! A Bible! A bible! we have a bible

At zone conference we all got Vietnamese bibles so that was super exciting! we have been running into a lot of people of Christian faiths and so to be able to use the bible now will be super great! Speaking of Zone conference it was so amazing. We focused on recognizing the Holy Ghost. There are 4 lessons you could say of how the spirit prompts us. One is revelation but not knowing beforehand, so being lead even though you don't know you are being lead. this comes as you are obedient and strive to follow Gods will (think of Nephi getting the brass plates). The Second is revelation through repetition. So when you read something or learn something a million times and then one day something clicks and your understanding deepens. The next is revelation as a conclusion so like a prompting to do something even though you don't know why. And then revelation as time, so knowing what you need to do already but understanding the right time (Like extending an invitation at the right tim

I can do all things through Christ which stregtheneth me- week 4

Holy cow it has been quite a week!! and guess what! I have offically been here for one month!! which is crazy!! Anyway I started out the week with an awesome devotional from Brent H. Neilson of the 70. His wife spoke about missions and related it to a 10k she ran on the fourth of July this past summer! Oh my maybe it's cuz I ran once upon a time but it hit me so hard!! man it was good! but she made 4 points. She said: 1) "I knew very little about running but I knew enough to run the race".  As a missionary I know very little about being a missionary but I know enough to come out here and serve the Lord 2)"I learned I wasn't the best in the race but I wasn't the worst." I am not the best missionary out here. 'Ill be honest I thought I would (haha) be but it's been humbling to see I still need to improve a lot! But I am also not the worst. I am trusting in God and doing my best 3)"I wasnt running alone." I am not running alone.
