Establish a house, even a house of prayer, a house of fasting, a house of faith, a house of learning, a house of glory, a house of order, a house of God.
Heyo what is up everybody!
Hey so got a joke for you all to learn some Việt! How did Obama's mom tell him to throw out the trash? She said "Bỏ rắc Obama!" haha "Bo rac" means throw out the trash.
Okay anyway this week has been good! and super busy! We started off the week by eating some wayyyy good Korean food with some of the returned missionaries who went home a couple months ago. They are all from Australia and brought a bunch of Australian candy and Welch's fruit snacks for us! I was pumped about that!
Then we have just been meeting alot of our investigators cuz they all are not busy right now and a lot of our potential investigators! We have a new investigator named Chi Thu and she is so so sweet! She owns a little restaurant we eat at and always gives us chocolate or drinks when we come over! It's so cute! Her husband is from Austria and he is visiting for a little while and sometimes we try to share with him too, but he is a little harder to teach.
We have also been trying to help a lot of the members prepare to go to the temple in the Phillipines this week! Yay! there is one member named Co Phuong who has been baptized as long as I have and has never been inside the temple. The members here take the temple very very seriously and don't go until they are sure they are ready and worthy and it is sooo cute! She is so excited and sooo nervous! The temple is such a blessing and I am so so grateful that we are so blessed to have such easy access to the temple! President Neilson promises that “Your worship in the temple and your service there for your ancestors will bless you with increased personal revelation and peace and will fortify your commitment to stay on the covenant path.” I invite you all to make going to the temple a regular part of your routines!
We also got to meet with one of our potential investigators named Co Hue who works as a bodyguard near the church. she brought us to her house and as we pulled up on bikes her whole extended family popped their heads out into the little alley we were driving down and were like "Wow look it's a foreigner!" Haha I love that! Although I guess I am starting to look Vietnamese to other foreigners. I said hello to a guy from India in a parking lot and he does like a double take and is all "Are you Vietnamese?" haha. Nope. But he is interested in our message so that's awesome!
We are seriously seeing so many blessings from the Lord this week! One of them came in the form of a family! It's a mom and a dad and their daughter and we read the Family Proclamation with them and even though they didn't understand it all they are very open and accepting! It's awesome! I know that through the gospel of Jesus Christ families can be together forever and I am so grateful to help others understand and have that opportunity as they learn to make covenants with our Heavenly Father!
Anyway that's about it for this week! Love you all and hope you have a wonderful week!
