"a man whose soul did joy in the liberty and the freedom of his country"
Hello hello! Happy 4th of July this week! I'm so grateful for the blessing that we have of families and religious freedom all over the world!
Yesterday at church was the most eventful church meeting I have been at in a very long time. We had a baptism right before church, a missionary return home, someone move into the branch and a marriage announcement. Wow lots of life happening.
Co Lien (one of the Elders' investigators) - got baptized! All the missionaries got to sing "I Love to see the Temple" Which was the sweetest thing because that is the whole reason she started learning the gospel is because she wanted her family to be sealed in the temple! It was really special and you could just tell she is so ready and so prepared! And her son- who the elders have been trying to work with- came to see it and then stayed for church! It was awesome!
One of the Korean families in our branch's daughter came home from a New York mission and it was so cool to see! We don't get a lot of homecomings in Vietnam because there are not a lot of missionaries so it was fun! Their whole family flew out from Utah and are staying here for a month. They all go to BYU and it was so fun to talk to them. It's so so weird to talk normally in English to people who speak English. One of the daughters just submitted her papers and hopefully will get her call in the next couple of weeks! I Love Missionaries!
Right now we are working with a couple of families. One of them we met on accident sorta. We were riding our bikes home and I was thinking about spiritual gifts and asking God what my spiritual gifts are that I could use to better further the Lords work. Then I saw the cutest little baby kitten and I stopped and was like "Hey Chi An I have got to pet this baby kitten. So I went over and asked if I could and we got talking and they want us to continue to come over and visit with them! It was awesome because we have also been praying that we could have a family to teach! So I guess that was an answer to 2 prayers. We found a family and I found my spiritual gift is petting baby kittens haha!
Also Miracle!!! Co Duong our less active came to church! Out of the Blue! It was awesome and she loved it! We met with her after and she was just so happy! It was such a change from the last 6 weeks of trying to meet with her! She also said all she wants right now is for her son to also come back to the church. It's awesome to see the change in people from simply visiting and inviting the spirit so that he can work a "Mighty change in their hearts"
Okay that's all for this week
Love you all and wish you the best!
