Yea, come unto Christ, and be perfected in Him

Sorry for no email last week! our Zone decided to take a little trip to Brazil so we were a little busy! Jk jk don't worry we just went to the beach and hiked up to a Jesus statue that looks like the one in Brazil. It was sooo awesome! We got to go to Vung Tao Beach and hiked up a mountain- which I haven't hiked up a mountain, let alone seen a mountain in a very long time! It was awesome and so beautiful! and very very spiritual. There were little statues of Bible stories everywhere and inside the Jesus Statue were pictures of His life and a little place to worship. You could also climb to the very top on his shoulders and see everything! It was cool cuz we literally came unto Christ. Kinda fun to think about

These past 2 weeks have been crazy! We had an awesome Zone conference last week that gave me a ton of direction as far as how to do missionary work and I feel like since then the work has just been on fire! We also had exchanges with the STLs and found a cute little cafe with WAFFLES! I didn't know waffles existed here! so that rocked! Also we got an English Club finally! and it's been a huge hit!

As for people we are teaching it has been awesome! We have met with Em Di's family a couple times! The first time we planned a really fun family home evening and invited the Branch President to come with us but when we got there the Dad was already asleep and the mom got up halfway through and just left. So we just had a family home evening with Em Di haha. It was so weird. But the next time we taught them about prayer and it was so cool! We had all of them practice giving prayers and it was so cute!

We also met with Em Nhi and her mom Chi Van! oh my goodness they are my favorite! We met them at a less active's house when they came over to fix the TV. We invited them to our activities and they literally come to all of them including sacrament! Em Nhi told us "You guys all seem like just a big family!" guess what? She is right! We are! God is our Loving Heavenly father and we are all His children. Also they speak the northern accent so I understand everything they say.

Also we were able to give Em Yen a baptismal date! It was super spiritual too! We started with the atonement and it just flowed so smoothly and we were able to apply some of the training we had a Zone conference about giving baptismal date invitations. I've never given a baptismal date like that where it just felt so so right!

Also funny story sorta! we met this guy who owns a coffee shop and is super interested in religion and has these like perfect questions that every missionary hopes someone would ask. He always texts them to us and we are trying to get him to meet with the elders- he is just very shy. But he also makes orange juice and hot chocolate and always brings us drinks when we are at the computer emailing place! It's the best!

Okay that's about all I can remember for this week! We have been talking to people like crazy and it's been so fun! I love being a missionary!
Hope you all have a great week! Keep on Keeping on

Love Sister Jenna Connell

Okay so lots of pics but most of them are from Zone Pday which was awesome! The one with the 2 girls is super cute cuz I was talking to them on the way down from the hike for a couple minutes. When we got to the bottom them cam up to me and give me flowers! So cute!

  1. Belief is the reason we go on a mission. It is the motive for preaching about Christ and sharing/Proclaiming his love. Faith is understanding we are children of God and our Heavenly Father. May the definition of faith bless you in life Faith is defined again and because faith has an inherent joy it gives us a solid foundation that we finally have the peace we have been searching for.

"Many believer's feed themselves on what God hasn't done. When I dwell on what hasn't happened, I create the atmosphere for the spirit of offense to arise and to thrive. When I dwell on what hasn't happened, I legitimize unbelief. I live with a sense of justification, for not believing God.

Faith in the purest sense is the ceasing of resistance. even when there's no physical evidence, when the other evidence is present. Not feeding ourselves on what God hasn't done Faith in it's purest form is the absence of resistance

Heaven is a place where everyone is celebrated, some are more honored but everyone is celebrated. All men and all women shall be judged on the light which they have received. Heaven is a permissible culture. God's nature is eternally permissible. These statements protect us from credit.

Faith in the purest sense is the ceasing of resistance, even when there's no physical evidence, when the other evidence is present. Not feeding ourselves on what God hasn't done. Faith in it's purest form is the absence of resistance. Faith doesn't deny a problems existence, it denies it's influence. He or she was someone whom aridity and desolation never disturbed for he or she had a deeply rooted, and a vigorous faith.

Now we can act as we have always dreamed. Now we can act as we have always been. Now we can step into the light and gather the sunlight instead of blocking out our possibilities. Instead of blocking out our joy. Variety will bloom in/under the sun. We can show off our best, we can enjoy other people's gifts. We can blossom where we stand upon the joy that faith provides us. Upon the joy that faith inherently has, which blossoms the entire field of flowers"
