Crazy Week!!

So accidentally broke the word of wisdom this week. If you want to know why then please keep reading

This week was crazy. I know I have said that before but I don't think I knew what crazy was before. We met with so many people and its awesome! Just a little crazy

This week we found a bunch of knew investigators and they are all catholic. I didn't know there were so many catholics in Vietnam but its fun to teach people who already know who God is. None of them want to join but they are all super interested in our message which is awesome!
So a couple funny stories with them.

1) we were sitting doing some calls outside our apartment and this lady comes up to us and is all hey "so I hear you do charity work for your church and also have an english club right? Yeah well i am also christian so thats cool." We were a little shocked but turns out one of the old ladies that is always sitting outside our apartment told her all about us. Plus about being friends with all the cute old ladies is they contact for you! sweet. So anyway we set up an appt and go to her house and have a really good comfortable first lesson and give her a family proclamation and she loved it. Then after she brought out some fruit and her husband went and bought some funny jelly with milk (its normal here) but we start eating it and turns out it wasn't milk but coffee! So yeah next lesson word of wisdom haha.

2)So we have been teaching on of the guys who comes to our english class and he has so many good questions! We asked him some of his beliefs and he taught us the basically the whole plan of salvation and then wanted us to teach him about repentance and the book of mormon. So that rocks! But this week he was feeling so bad that we had to share a phone that he went and bought a phone for my companion haha! we were like uhhh... what do we do? haha! so funny

3) So we met this guy who said he is christian and wanted to talk to us about our religion. We were super excited to meet him.. But anyway we meet him and lets just say it was not what we expected. We could hardly get a word in and i got kinda a taste of how Jesus may have felt with all the Pharisees questioning Him and trying to trick Him. He was really nice about it all but we gave him a Book of Mormon and he told us he might come to church. I was so confused afterwords

Anyway thats about all! Our investigators are doing well except a couple of them are struggling  which is so sad and so hard! But its okay we are working hard and the Lord has a plan for them! Which speaking of we sent a text to remind one of our new investigators about church and she sent us in English "I pray to the God everyday and know he loves and blessed me." So cute! I just love when people can feel the truth of this message! It truly makes up for all the hard days!

Also i have been studying the New testament and the Living Christ and oh my goodness its been awesome! I definitely recommend it!

Sorry for no email last week! our Zone decided to take a little trip to Brazil so we were a little busy! Jk jk don't worry we just went to the beach and hiked up to a Jesus statue that looks like the one in Brazil. It was sooo awesome! We got to go to Vung Tao Beach and hiked up a mountain- which I haven't hiked up a mountain, let alone seen a mountain in a very long time! It was awesome and so beautiful! and very very spiritual. There were little statues of Bible stories everywhere and inside the Jesus Statue were pictures of His life and a little place to worship. You could also climb to the very top on his shoulders and see everything! It was cool cuz we literally came unto Christ. Kinda fun to think about These past 2 weeks have been crazy! We had an awesome Zone conference last week that gave me a ton of direction as far as how to do missionary work and I feel like since then the work has just been on fire! We also had exchanges with the STLs and found a cute little cafe

A Bible! A bible! we have a bible

At zone conference we all got Vietnamese bibles so that was super exciting! we have been running into a lot of people of Christian faiths and so to be able to use the bible now will be super great! Speaking of Zone conference it was so amazing. We focused on recognizing the Holy Ghost. There are 4 lessons you could say of how the spirit prompts us. One is revelation but not knowing beforehand, so being lead even though you don't know you are being lead. this comes as you are obedient and strive to follow Gods will (think of Nephi getting the brass plates). The Second is revelation through repetition. So when you read something or learn something a million times and then one day something clicks and your understanding deepens. The next is revelation as a conclusion so like a prompting to do something even though you don't know why. And then revelation as time, so knowing what you need to do already but understanding the right time (Like extending an invitation at the right tim

I can do all things through Christ which stregtheneth me- week 4

Holy cow it has been quite a week!! and guess what! I have offically been here for one month!! which is crazy!! Anyway I started out the week with an awesome devotional from Brent H. Neilson of the 70. His wife spoke about missions and related it to a 10k she ran on the fourth of July this past summer! Oh my maybe it's cuz I ran once upon a time but it hit me so hard!! man it was good! but she made 4 points. She said: 1) "I knew very little about running but I knew enough to run the race".  As a missionary I know very little about being a missionary but I know enough to come out here and serve the Lord 2)"I learned I wasn't the best in the race but I wasn't the worst." I am not the best missionary out here. 'Ill be honest I thought I would (haha) be but it's been humbling to see I still need to improve a lot! But I am also not the worst. I am trusting in God and doing my best 3)"I wasnt running alone." I am not running alone.
