Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things

So we had a kinda of  Martha and Mary moment this week and definitely understand that story so so so much more. We went over to one of our potential investigators house this week and earlier we called  and set kinda expectations but when we got over there the guy we talked to wasn't there but the rest of his family was. So we sit down and the wife is like i just cut up some fruit real quick while we wait a couple minute for him to get home. So we wait and she starts cleaning and putting some pots on the stove and grabbing more than just fruit and we were like wow wait we just have a few minutes do you mind if we share a quick message or help you out. And she is like it's okay it will just be a moment. but for the next like 20 minutes she is going back and forth cooking all these things having us try stuff, chopping up oranges and mangos and all sorts of things. And she was being so sweet trying to show us all the fun Vietnamese things but we just really wanted to talk to her and listen and share about happiness. Both me and my companion were like "This might have been how Jesus felt when he visited Martha and Mary." I never really fully understood that story until  i experienced it for myself. While it's important to keep things clean and tidy the gifts that Christ offers us are so so valuable. It's so important to remember to make sure and make time for the things that matter most and time to study the word of the Lord.

Also this week was full of miracles! one really cool one is we have been trying to help one of our investigators read the Book of Mormon so we have been praying really really hard for him and just got the thought to teach him about temples. We didn't know why and it didn't make sense but we went in and taught him about the temple. And he was just really confused why a christian church would have a temple. In fact he was so confused he asked how he could figure out more and we said through the words of the prophets! so he downloaded the app and has been reading conference talks and the book of mormon and wants us to come back more and explain! Sometimes the Lord works in mysterious ways. I would never think that teaching the temple would help someone want to make the commitment to read the book of mormon but the Lord did.

Also me and chi thao ly got to teach one of our people about keeping the sabbath day holy and it was so cool as he had some concerns but with the faith that he had developed in Jesus Christ we were able to come up with some good things to do on Sunday instead! He was so relieved and so happy that when it seems like one door closes another one opens! So cool!

Sorry for no email last week! our Zone decided to take a little trip to Brazil so we were a little busy! Jk jk don't worry we just went to the beach and hiked up to a Jesus statue that looks like the one in Brazil. It was sooo awesome! We got to go to Vung Tao Beach and hiked up a mountain- which I haven't hiked up a mountain, let alone seen a mountain in a very long time! It was awesome and so beautiful! and very very spiritual. There were little statues of Bible stories everywhere and inside the Jesus Statue were pictures of His life and a little place to worship. You could also climb to the very top on his shoulders and see everything! It was cool cuz we literally came unto Christ. Kinda fun to think about These past 2 weeks have been crazy! We had an awesome Zone conference last week that gave me a ton of direction as far as how to do missionary work and I feel like since then the work has just been on fire! I can do all things through Christ which stregtheneth me- week 4

Holy cow it has been quite a week!! and guess what! I have offically been here for one month!! which is crazy!! Anyway I started out the week with an awesome devotional from Brent H. Neilson of the 70. His wife spoke about missions and related it to a 10k she ran on the fourth of July this past summer! Oh my maybe it's cuz I ran once upon a time but it hit me so hard!! man it was good! but she made 4 points. She said: 1) "I knew very little about running but I knew enough to run the race".  As a missionary I know very little about being a missionary but I know enough to come out here and serve the Lord 2)"I learned I wasn't the best in the race but I wasn't the worst." I am not the best missionary out here. 'Ill be honest I thought I would (haha) be but it's been humbling to see I still need to improve a lot! But I am also not the worst. I am trusting in God and doing my best 3)"I wasnt running alone." I am not running alone.

A Bible! A bible! we have a bible

At zone conference we all got Vietnamese bibles so that was super exciting! we have been running into a lot of people of Christian faiths and so to be able to use the bible now will be super great! Speaking of Zone conference it was so amazing. We focused on recognizing the Holy Ghost. There are 4 lessons you could say of how the spirit prompts us. One is revelation but not knowing beforehand, so being lead even though you don't know you are being lead. this comes as you are obedient and strive to follow Gods will (think of Nephi getting the brass plates). The Second is revelation through repetition. So when you read something or learn something a million times and then one day something clicks and your understanding deepens. The next is revelation as a conclusion so like a prompting to do something even though you don't know why. And then revelation as time, so knowing what you need to do already but understanding the right time (Like extending an invitation at the right tim
