"We Thank Thee O God for a Prophet"

Xin Chao Gia Dinh va cac Ban cua chi

Hey what is up everybody! Hope everything is going well

This week has been a little slow now that Tet season is starting but we are still doing some solid work!

Crazy story for the week: So last Wednesday seriously felt like we were in like some FBI show or something! We started off the day meeting one of our contacts at the mission office and he wants to keep learning the gospel! His name is Anh Manh and he has got a fantastic smile. So that rocked! and then here is the crazy part. We got a referral for this lady last week. She is dating a Cambodian who is a member and can't speak Vietnamese and lives in the US. And she can't speak Cambodian so they communicate with google translate and broken English. Anyway she wanted a Book of Mormon but she lives way far out of anybody's area. But one of the senior couples' sons was leaving for a cruise on Wednesday from the same place that she lived. So we gave him the Book in a big yellow envelope and he went to wait in a specific spot. So then we called the lady and the senior couple called their son and we were both trying to get them in the same place at the same time and they didn't know what each other looked like and they couldn't speak each others language so we had to do all the communicating over phone. We were figuring it out for like 45 minutes and the guys cruise was going to leave in 15 minutes and then they finally found each other! He gave here the package and they were off!  It was intense! how it worked out is a miracle! So yeah life of a missionary I guess.

Rest of the week: Other than that its was a pretty chill week. We had a really solid lesson with Chi Dieu though and she has been struggling with a testimony of Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon so we just read a bunch of talks and scriptures and showed the restoration video and shared experiences and it was really fun! Then we met with a million of our Recent Converts who are so solid and we are all teaching them how to teach lessons because we want them to go on missions haha! Some of them are really so so solid it's awesome! We also have been preparing a lot of them to go to the temple this summer in the Phillipines with the rest of the branch!

Funny story: Also we went to the Brantinghams again with one of our recent converts and had a FHE lesson about prophets! She has 3 crazy super cute children so it was a crazy evening. Sister Brantingham at one point asked her kids who the new prophet was. Hre son said "President Hassel?" (our mission president) and she was all "Close but no." and then her daughter shouts out "Donald Trump!!" we all lost it at that point it was soo funny!!

But anyway we have a new prophet! I love how smoothly the organization of things works in the church! It really is inspired and I know that God really does guide it and direct it through his prophets! I know that Russell M Neilson is called of God to be our prophet and to speak the words of the Lord!
D&C 1:38: What I the Lord have spoken, I have spoken, and I excuse not myself... whether by my own voice or by the voice of my servants it is the same."

Anyway hope you all have a fanastic week! Keep on keeping on and doing good things!
Love you all
