The Atonement of Jesus Christ brings peace into our lives!

Hello to all the people I love!
I hope everyone is doing well! All is well here in Vietnam so that is great!

First things first, Chi Phuong got baptized on Saturday!!!! yayyyy!! She is so awesome and says she wants to serve a mission so yay! We didn't get to go to her baptism because it was out of our area but I am so happy for her! We also got the opportunity to meet her mom and her mom totally supports her, which is awesome and pretty rare here. A lot of parents do not agree with these young single adults decisions to get baptized. Half of the YSA in our branch have not yet told there parents they have been baptized. It's crazy to see some of the sacrifices these people are willing to make and so inspiring to me!

Wednesday was one of those days where I just could not understand any Vietnamese. we visited a less active who is super funny but she always turns to me and says "Do you understand?" Then she will say "Okay what did I just say" Most of the time I am fine but today I was just like "I'm so sorry I have no idea" Haha she just laughed and I laughed with her. But we had a cool miracle happen. We decided to go through our contacts on our phone and call people to invite them to learn the gospel. We thought maybe we could do it at the church just in case anybody walks in. Then we were like nah no one ever walks into the church cuz it looks like a house (because it is a house). But we went there anyway and guess what? Someone walks into our church and asks about what we do. She was more interested in our English Class- which is actually a self reliance class taught in English. but it was a super cool miracle and cool to see a confirmation of the Holy Ghosts guidance!

Friday we had some awesome member help in our lessons with our people. One of them was a former, former investigator named Chi Ngoc and we focused on the restoration and the first baptismal interview questions. She asked what it means to believe in God and and Em Doan the member help shared her conversion story and it was so powerful! I'ts fun to see when the message is connecting with the people because they are so focused. I love it! We also had a cool lesson with Chi Thuy who is getting ready for baptism next week! We were going to go over the baptismal questions with her but our conversation just led into the atonement and it was AWESOME! Chi Mi, the member helper, also shared her conversion story and experiences with the atonement and it was so amazing!

We had another experience with the sharing about the atonement with Em Ly. She still is having a hard time understanding everything so we have been trying to be creative with our commitments. Last time we asked her to watch a Bible Video or Mormon message about the atonement. She didn't have time so the member help pulls one up and we watched it together. Then she loved it so much we watched 4 more haha! After she is like "Okay I understand how He suffered for us and what it means" And then she asked about how he was resurrected which is awesome cuz she doesn't usually ask questions! It was so cool!

I'm so so grateful for the atonement of Jesus Christ and the peace it brings into our lives! He truly suffered for each one of us individually and knows us personally. He is willing and ready to help us, and his hand is always extended, we just have to reach up and take it. Only through Him can we change and become like Him. I am so so grateful Jesus Christ and our knowledge of Him that we have through the Restored gospel of Jesus Christ. I want to invite you all to make the Atonement part of your personal study this week and ponder what it means it your life.

Hope you all have a great week!
