"This is the plan of salvation unto all men"
Chao buoi sang! (Good morning!)
K word of the week is "yeu cau". It means "to request" but the literal translation is "love (yeu) toilet (toilet)"
Anyway... holy let me tell you it has been a good week! We have seen so much of the hand of the Lord and been able to have some awesome adventures! from finding batteries for our dead carbon monoxide detector in the middle of the night, getting wrecked in basketball by some little kids last p-day, to just opening our mouths and meeting some amazing people!
First off Em Thanh's parents finally agreed to let her get baptized!!! She has been trying for 8 months now and they are finally okay with it and even said they will come to the service!
We also met with so many people this week! lots of phone contacts, street contacts, potential investigators etc. We have one girl named Chi Nga and she is the sister of a member who comes to church and is basically a member but her boyfriend does not like the church. So she doesn't want to learn yet but has agreed to pretend to be an investigator and let us teach her the lessons to practice our teaching and our Vietnamese. Then when she asks us questions she always says "Well an investigator might ask '...?' " haha its so fun! God prepares people in weird ways sometimes
We also had the most amazing experience. Me and my comp just finished listening to Feed My sheep by Elder Holland and it talks about teaching to needs and he tells and an awesome story of some missionaries who decided to teach the plan of salvation instead of what they planned because the lady they were talking to just lost a daughter. Then the next day we met with a lady we contacted at the end of the day the week before and she shared with us how her father just passed away. We were all in tears it was so sad but both me and my comp thought of that talk and were able to give her some hope as we taught the plan of salvation. I am so grateful for the plan of salvation and the knowledge that we will see our loved ones again. They are not lost or gone forever but patiently waiting for all of us as they share and learn the gospel in the Spirit world. And it is because of our Savior Jesus Christ that that plan is possible!
Moses 6:62 And now, behold, I say unto you: This is the plan of salvation unto all men, through the blood of mine Only Begotten, who shall come in the meridian of time.
Thats about all I have time for! thanks for all the letters and love! I wish everyone a happy week!
