Family History, I am doing it :)

So the last couple mornings have been a little interesting and let's just say we are experts at killing cockroaches now. Also the adrenaline from having a cockroach run across your toes in the morning wakes you up and gets you ready for some solid working out!

Anyway we are counting down to Tet which also means things are slowing down soooo much! everyone in the city goes away to their hometown so no one can meet! but we have been getting creative--

Family History: We shared a spiritual thought about family history after english and we have never had so many people stay afterwards! We had a lady ask about how to do it and why. So we explained about temples and invited her to prepare to go to the temple and she was so interested and we told her the steps she had to take which included the first principles and ordinances of the gospel and she was so excited. I really believe that the spirit of Elijah will turn the hearts of the children to their fathers and the hearts of the fathers to their children. Which all leads us back to our Father in Heaven!
Also we had one guy come up to us after the thought and he wants us to help him find his lost grandfather. Which I'm not sure if that is in my job description but we showed him how to find record and stuff on family search so that was cool!

Members: We have been trying to teach members more and get them used to sharing the gospel and helping us out. But it's funny cuz even the ones who have served missions before are so hesitant to give referrals. But it was really cool cuz we went to visit Anh Buu and turns out we met like half the branch there cuz they all live together haha! And it was fun as we taught them the message of the restoration their eyes were all glued to the picture of Joseph Smith and you could see the spirit touching their hearts!

Okay also I have a super cool new companion who's name is also Xuan. It's so fun when we talk to people or teach people and they are like how am I going to know who is who. So we have gotten Xuan 1 and Xuan 2, Xuan white Xuan brown, Xuan tall Xuan small, Xuan old Xuan young. It's been fun. Also our goal has been to talk to everyone about Jesus Christ. Sometimes its easy to just use english as a crutch or just talk about happy families and many people tell us that when we say Jesus Christ it scares people but we found it doesn't! People feel the spirit when we testify of Christ. Christ is the one who brings peace and helps us to have happy families! I love testifying of Christ!
Also we got Anh Tuan to come to church! we taught the plan of salvation and him and his friend were totally in awe with all the new things they didn't know before! then we invited them to keep the sabbath day holy and his friend was like "That's just once a year right? I can do that. I need a nice day of rest." but then we explained he can have that every week! they were actually super excited about that!

Also speaking of church, Chu Nghi decided to come to the baptism before church, stay for sacrament and the class after, have a lesson, attend another baptism after and then stay for the afternoon church service. He called us afterwords just to tell us how much he loved it! so awesome!

Okay long email. Thanks for reading! Love you all!
Have a great week!
Chi Xuan
