"His order and calling should have power, by faith, to break mountains"
Xin Chao Moi Nguoi!
Holy cow it has been a crazy week and we have seriously seen the Hand of the Lord so much this week!
This last Monday we got to meet with a girl named Chi Nguyet. She was brought to the church by a man who lives in California and was here for vacation. He couldn't find our church so asked for help from this lady and she showed him where it was and he invited her to come in for sacrament meeting and she wants to learn about our church now! It was so random and awesome! So if you are trying to figure out a good place to go on vacation feel free to come here and have some natives help you find the church haha!
Tuesday we had district meeting and talked about mountains and overcoming hard things and how good it feels when we get to the top. Our whole district had a hard week and so we were discussing that but the whole time I had "The Climb" by Miley Cyrus playing though my head haha! But seriously mountains are a part of life. Sometimes they are steep and hard and it would feel so much easier to just stop and go back. Sometimes you need to rest, sometimes you need to look around you and see the beauty, sometimes you need to look back and realize how far you have come. Most of all you can enjoy the journey and understand that each step you take makes you stronger. The top is awesome but we need to learn to enjoy the climb as well! Through faith in Christ we can overcome all our mountains and trials."... his order and calling should have power, by faith, to break mountains, to divide the seas, to dry up waters, to turn them out of their course;" Genesis14:30
Anyway after that we met a member to go to an investigator's house and the member asked if we were hungry and we said no. But she insisted she buy us ice cream and we didn't want to refuse (and I'll never turn down ice cream). So instead of getting us one ice cream cone she bought us each 2. I don't know why cuz I don't understand her well but it's all good! also on Tuesday we went to a little park buy our house to call people and make appointments and this lady came up to us and starts asking all these questions and her family wants to learn the Gospel with us. I love when other people do our jobs for us haha!
Then we had exchanges again which I was stressed for cuz I have never done them as an STL yet but they went great! We also met Chi Bich again and she comes in and the first thing she says is "I am so sorry I didn't read the book!!!" but she got it laminated and asked if she needed to get special clothes to read it. And we were like nah you can literally read it in your PJs. But we read it with her and she had a ton of awesome questions. Then later that day we had english class and the Elders brought dog meat for people to try. EEWWWWWW.... I don't like that.
Other than that we just met with a couple more of our investigators and Anh Khoa again. He is so funny and was so excited he went and found a church and took a video of himself taking a tour of it on his own haha! After we met him we went over to the coffee shop to text people and my comp starts talking to this lady and another lady sitting behind us turns around and is all "What church is this?" so we say The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and she is like "Wow can I learn about your church?" Ummm YEAH!!! turns out she lived in France for like 17 years so we teach her in French and Vietnamese! My companion was so pumped about that! Seriously she is sooooo awesome!!! We met her last night and she brought us some french sausage thing and my comp almost cried she was so happy!
Also we had to give talks about Easter this last Sunday and let's just say if they understood anything at all we will count that as a blessing.
Hope y'all have a good week!
