We Thank Thee O God for a Prophet

Xin chao moi nguoi!
Heyo, hope you all have had a fantastic week and have had the opportunity to revisit some of the conference talks from this last week! We had to wait for the translation for our branch so we just watched it this last weekend and oh my goodness I loved every second of it! The solemn assembly was such an amazing experience. I felt the spirit and I know that Pres. Neilson is a true prophet of God who truly leads and guides God's true church on the Earth today! I am so grateful for that! I challenge each of you to go back and make conference talks a part of your daily scripture study!

This week started with MLC. We went up to Hanoi for a couple of days and focused on teaching the Atonement of Jesus Christ to all ages. As stated by Elder Uchdorf, it is the single most important event in History. This being said it is so important to teach it to people's understanding so they know the significance of it in their own life! It was really cool to ponder how to teach it because I feel like I came to understand the Atonement better as well!

The rest of the week was alot of teaching and contacting. We got kicked out of 2 universities, which are usually gold mines for contacting, so that was quite an experience. But we were able to invite the security guard to church and he seemed pretty excited about it haha! We also found 2 new people to teach! One was a guy from Russia who speaks English and we are super excited to teach him. Another is a lady named Vivian and she is an english teacher and its so awesome!

We also were able to get one of the girls who has been helping us with Vietnamese to meet with the Elders who are over her area and she loves learning! It was so cool to be able to sit in with the Elder's lesson! both of them have been out on their missions for a long time and are so good at teaching! It was such an awesome experience to see how lessons can be so simple, friendly and powerful! at the end they were able to give her a baptismal date and she is all for it!

Our other investigators are doing well. The language barrier is starting to make communication harder but it is a new challenge we can learn from! But 3 of them were able to come to conference and they loved it! one of them texted us after and thanked us for inviting her and letting her come! it was so cute.

We were also able to have a music activity with some potential investigators They brought guitars and we played the piano and we sang church songs and it was so fun and everyone felt the spirit! Music is such a powerful way we can tune into the spirit.

Anyway hope its been a good week for all of you!

Love Sister Connell
